Refund policy
We want every dachshund in a Hudson Hound coat that fits beautifully. If the fit isn't right, we'll make it easy to fix — and if something's wrong with your order, we'll make it right.
You have 30 days from delivery to start a return or exchange. Just email us at hello@hudson-hound.com — we read every one — and we'll send you a label and everything you need to start.
Not sure about size?
The coat is sized to your dog's measurements, not their breed or weight — so a quick measure beats a guess every time. Check our size guide before you order. Still unsure? Email us your dog's measurements and we'll recommend the size. It takes two minutes and saves everyone the swap.
Your two options
When the 30-day window is open and your item meets the conditions below, you can choose:
1. Exchanges
Wrong size or fit? We'll get you the right one. We'll send you a prepaid label to return the original, and ship your replacement free — no return shipping cost to you.
- One complimentary exchange per order.
- U.S. orders only.
- Your replacement ships as soon as your original is on its way back to us.
2. Refunds
Changed your mind? We'll refund your original payment method once the item is received and inspected. For refunds, return shipping is the customer's responsibility (we'll provide a label and deduct the cost from your refund). Refunds are issued within 10 business days of approval; your bank may take a few days more.
Damaged, defective, or wrong item?
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, email us at hello@hudson-hound.com within 14 days of delivery with a quick photo. We'll send a replacement free, and you won't need to ship the original back. This is on us, every time.
To be eligible
Returned and exchanged items must be:
- Unworn, unwashed, and unused
- Free of dog hair (a lint brush works wonders!)
- In original condition with tags attached
- In original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
We can't take back anything more than 30 days after delivery. Items sent back without starting a return first, or that come back worn, washed, or altered, may be returned to you.
